I purchased a hand crank operated awning, can I have it converted to a motorized operated unit? Yes - most of Durasol shading systems can be converted from manual operation to motorized operation. Contact your local Durasol dealer that provided you your Durasol awning to arrange this upgrade.

Can I add a front drop valance to my awning? Yes - This option is currently available on the S4000 model only. To have this option added to your S4000 the awning size can not exceed a 24' wide x 10' projection. Contact your local Durasol dealer for more information.

Can I order matching retractable window awnings? Yes - Just contact your local Durasol dealer to arrange installation.

If I need to re-shingle my roof what should I do? Call the local Durasol dealer and make arrangements to remove your awning and the roof mounted brackets. When your new roof is complete, your Durasol dealer will reinstall your awning.

Is the warranty transferable to a new home owner? Yes, the warranty is transferable to a new homeowner. We suggest that the new owner contact Durasol to arrange for the warranty transfer.

If I move, can I take the awning with me & if so what happens to the warranty? If you move your awning can be removed and reinstalled by a Durasol dealer to keep the remainder of your warranty in effect. Reinstallation by someone other than a Durasol dealer may void your warranty.

How long is my warranty? The term of the warranty depends on the particular model you purchase.  The 2 different warranties are below.

 

10 Year Warranty
Durasol Systems, Inc. warrants its awning frames, fabric covers, motors and electronics, if so equipped, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper use for the following duration:

The framework is warranted for a period of (10) ten years. The frame finish, awning fabric cover and sewing/seams, motor, wall switches and electronic accessories are warranted for a period of (5) five years, all commencing from the date of installation. 

Any defects in the awning must be reported within the warranty period listed above. Under this warranty, Durasol reserves the right to repair or replace those parts which have been returned or are deemed defective. If any item is replaced due to a warranty claim, the warranty is not extended on the replaced item, but rather applies to the original warranty period.

This limited warranty does not cover defects caused by faulty installation, reinstallation, or service not performed by an Independent Durasol Dealer. Durasol is not responsible for normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, and acts of nature such as hurricanes, tornadoes, wind, hail, flooding, fire, snow loads, rain accumulation or vandalism.

Labor cost for the removal and reinstallation of awning parts is not covered by this warranty and is the responsibility of the owner. Any defective part must be returned to Durasol by your Local Durasol Dealer. 

Durasol Systems, Inc. shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages, loss or injury. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, but you may also have additional or other rights which may vary from state to state.

5 Year Warranty
